Beaded Stories
My Name is Nicholas Pope-Lopez and I am a Yoeme (Yaqui) artist based out of Tucson, Arizona. I use my beadwork as a means to reconnect to my people share our stories with others. Every piece that I produce is made with intention. I pray over every bead that is strung or stitched so that good energy is passed on to those that wear my work. In this way, each piece is not only a beautiful representation of my culture, but a connection to Creator and the land surrounding us.
